MY Hope started life in the 80s as a 85' yacht before undergoing a major reconstruction that saw the hull extended to 101', and an all new superstructure, interior layout, engine room, new engines, generators, running gear, electrical and plumbing systems and was relaunched in 1996 under the name 'Lady Diane". Her early days saw her spend the majority her time in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Tahiti and the Pacific Northwest.
In 2007 under new ownership she was renamed 'Hope', and travelled from Seattle to Mexico, Costa Rica, through the Panama Canal to the Caribbean, Bahamas and East Coast of the US from Florida to Maine.
In 2010 she was upgraded with extra diesel storage and upgraded refrigeration enabling an extended cruising range to around 2000 nautical miles. Her journey then saw her travel the Panama Canal, across the Pacific, spending time in the Galapagos Islands, Marquesas, Tuamotus, Tahiti and Cook Islands and Fiji. Lately she has added the East Coast of Australia, New Caledonia and Vanuatu to her list of travels.
