The first leg of the 23rd edition of the Grand Soleil Cup, a prestigious event organized by Cantiere del Pardo in collaboration with the Circolo Nautico e della Vela Argentario, ended in the waters of Argentario. From May 23 to 25, the Cala Galera Marina was the setting for a weekend of sailing, passion for the sea and the community spirit that distinguishes the Grand Soleil world.

Grand Soleil Cup, how the regattas went.

Nearly 40 boats took part in the event, confirming once again the central role of the Grand Soleil Cup in the Italian and international sailing scene. Dominating the scene was Luduan 2.0, Grand Soleil 48 armed by Enrico De Crescenzo, which took first place overall in the All Sails category at the end of two days of spectacular racing.

In second place overall was Francesco Marsella’s Grand Soleil 44 Wall E2, and in third was Axa Paolissima, Luca and Paola Poli’s Grand Soleil 56.

All category winners: Luduan 2.0, GS44 by Enrico De Crescenzo (All Sails 1); Axa Paolissima, GS56 by Luca and Paola Poli; Raffica 3, GS43 by Walter Tronconi (All Sails 2); Amaran, GS45 by Giorgio Gallo.

On Saturday the fleet tackled a coastal sail with a route to Giannutri: starting with a light breeze of 2-3 knots and returning with more than 20 knots of mistral, offering technical and exciting sailing to all the racers. On Sunday, however, the classic stick racing between the buoys took place, with winds increasing from 6 to 15 knots, and a spectacular tack near the Formiche di Grosseto provided one of the most striking moments of the entire weekend.

Not just sports

During the closing ceremony, Marcello Veronesi, CEO of Cantiere del Pardo, and Marco Carletto, CEO of Oniverse Group, reiterated the company’s strategic commitment to build quality, develop new models, and create increasingly personalized services for Grand Soleil owners. A clear goal: to strengthen the international community that makes the brand unique.

Among the most eagerly awaited novelties of this edition is the official debut of the new Plus Line, represented by four outstanding models: the GS Plus 72 Performance “Shanti,”the new GS Plus 65 Performance “Rebel,” andtwo GS Plus 65 Long Cruise, the “Halimedes” and the “Melingunis.”

Also noteworthy is the presence of four fast GS 44s, and a number of foreign crews from Australia, Japan, Holland and Canada, reflecting the growing global resonance of the Grand Soleil brand.

Watchword: fun!

But the Grand Soleil Cup is not just about competition: the program ashore also contributed to a memorable experience. From the elegant cocktail reception on the CNVA’s terrace, to the toasts at the pasta party on the dock, to Saturday’s sunset dinner and Sunday’s celebratory cocktail reception.
