The Grand Soleil Cup 2026 recently concluded in Porto Cervo, Italy, bringing together owners and crews from around the world for the flagship event on the Grand Soleil calendar.
Held from 21–23 May in the spectacular waters of the Costa Smeralda, the 24th edition of the Grand Soleil Cup attracted a fleet of 21 yachts ranging from 37 to 80 feet. The event showcased the diversity of the Grand Soleil range, from high-performance racing yachts through to luxury long-range cruising models, while celebrating the passion for sailing that has defined the brand for more than 50 years.
Beyond the racing, the Grand Soleil Cup is renowned for fostering a strong sense of community among owners. Daily race briefings, social events, prize giving ceremonies and waterfront gatherings provided opportunities for Grand Soleil owners from across Europe, North America, Australia and beyond to connect both on and off the water.
The Porto Cervo event also highlighted the growing international reach of the Grand Soleil Cup series. Earlier this year, Sydney Marine Brokerage proudly hosted the Grand Soleil Cup Australia as part of the Pittwater Regatta. Bringing together Grand Soleil owners from across the country, the Australian event demonstrated the strength of the local Grand Soleil fleet, with three Grand Soleil 40s claiming the top three positions overall and Andiamo taking victory.
